UNDERSTANDING OF EXPANDED PTFE TAPE WRAPPING CORE CABLE

The silver plated spiral strip inner shield and round silver plated copper wire outer braid configuration and high velocity expanded PTFE Tape wrapping dielectrics of LLC-MHS constructions present an attenuation level lower than Solid PTFE core cable. The unique shielding structure also present the manufacture of small diameter, light weight cables with low attenuation and shielding effectiveness levels exceeding -110 dB.

The higher velocity PTFE tape wrapping dielectrics show a very low coefficient of expansion enabling the transmission of high power levels. Phase versus temperature performance has been optimized.
